The Oktoberfest is hosted at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2225 E. 14 Mile Rd, four blocks east of Woodward Ave.
Our Shepherd was first organized in 1949. We invite you to experience how we gather, nurture, and serve because Jesus loves.
We hold a praise service on Saturdays at 6:00pm and traditional liturgy services on Sundays at 8:30am and 11:00am. A supervised nursery is available. There are also Bible classes for high school youth and adults and Sunday School for children at 9:45am.
School
Our Shepherd Lutheran School was established in 1956, located at 1658 East Lincoln, Birmingham, MI 48009. This year we celebrate sixty-one years of quality education. Students from 25 communities attend Our Shepherd. About 76% of the student body is Lutheran, 23% belong to non-Lutheran congregations. Currently, there are 240 children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
At Our Shepherd, we know that every child is a precious gift from God, and we strive to make a positive difference in every student’s life. With an emphasis on academic and spiritual development, our rigorous curriculum and ancillary studies encourage each child to grow their faith by maximizing their unique gifts and talents.

Preschool and Childcare
The preschool for children 2-6 years old is located at the school at 1658 East Lincoln, Birmingham, MI. Childcare for children 6 weeks to 2 years old is located at the Church campus at 2225 East 14 Mile Road, Birmingham, MI.
